AirCastPro Best Practices for Reliable Printing

AirCastPro Best Practices for Reliable Printing

Follow these best practices to help ensure reliable printing and the best possible experience with AirCastPro. A few simple setup habits before your event can prevent common issues, improve printer connectivity, and help everything run smoothly when it matters most. Whether you are setting up for a photo booth, event printing, or a permanent installation, these recommendations will help you get the most out of AirCastPro 3 and set yourself up for success.

Always Stay Connected to the AirCastPro Hotspot

Whether you are printing only, or printing while using texting, AI, guest sharing, or social features, your iPad or mobile device should always remain connected to the AirCastPro hotspot.

AirCastPro manages printer communication through its own network. If your device switches to another Wi-Fi network during an event, printing may stop or printers may no longer appear.

Disable Auto-Join on Other Saved Wi-Fi Networks

  • Open Settings on your iPad.
  • Tap Wi-Fi.
  • Tap the info (i) button next to any saved Wi-Fi network you may be near during your event.
  • Turn off Auto-Join.

Or, if you no longer need that network:

  • Tap the info (i) button next to the saved Wi-Fi network.
  • Tap Forget This Network.

Repeat this for any nearby saved Wi-Fi networks.

Disable Auto-Join Hotspot

  • Open Settings on your iPad.
  • Tap Wi-Fi.
  • Scroll to the bottom of the Wi-Fi settings page.
  • Tap Auto-Join Hotspot.
  • Set this to Never.

Need Internet Access?

If you need internet access for texting, AI, guest sharing, or social media uploads, connect AirCastPro to an external hotspot or Wi-Fi source.

Your iPad should still remain connected to the AirCastPro hotspot while AirCastPro handles internet access in the background.

Tethered Networking (Ethernet / Hardwire)

For improved reliability in environments with weak Wi-Fi, heavy wireless traffic, or crowded venues, you can connect your iPad directly to AirCastPro using a USB-C to Ethernet adapter.

A direct Ethernet connection provides a stable wired connection between your iPad and AirCastPro and can help reduce connection interruptions caused by wireless interference.

This setup is especially helpful for:

  • Large venues with crowded Wi-Fi networks
  • Trade shows and convention centers
  • Permanent installations
  • Events where maximum reliability is important
