Adding an AirCastPro Printer in Windows 11

Due to an issue in Windows 11, you must manually add an AirCastPro printer in Windows 11. Follow these steps to add your AirCastPro printer as a Windows printer in Windows 11.

Step 1: Open Printers & Scanners

  1. In Windows 11, go to Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Printers & scanners.
  2. Select Add device and then click Add manually.

Step 2: Enter Printer Address

  1. Choose Select a shared printer by name.
  2. Enter your printer’s URL in this format:

http://aircastpro.local:631/printers/Printer_Name

Finding Your Printer Name

  • Open the AirCastPro network share by pasting this into your File Explorer address bar:

\\aircastpro.local

  • Look for the folder with your printer’s name. That is your Printer_Name.
  • Example: If you are using a DNP DS620, your printer name will be DNP_DS620.
    • The full URL would be: http://aircastpro.local:631/printers/DNP_DS620

Step 3: Install the Printer Driver

  1. Select Next.
  2. In the Add Printer Wizard, choose:
    • Manufacturer: Microsoft
    • Printer driver: Microsoft XPS Class Driver 2
  3. Click OK, then Next, then Finish.

Your AirCastPro printer has now been added and is ready for use in Windows 11.
