Printing Issues

I can’t Print!

There are several possible reasons why you may not be able to print with your AirCastPro™. This article covers several common issues.

Printer isn’t listed in the AirCastPro II Printer List box

Make sure your printer is plugged in and powered on. AirCastPro II will find and configure your printer for you.
If AirCastPro II isn’t “seeing” your printer, unplug the connecting USB cable from your AirCastPro II, wait 10 seconds, then plug the USB cable into AirCastPro II again.

I Can’t find the printer in the print dialog through the iOS Photos app or other apps

If your printer is not visible, make sure you are connected to the AirCastPro hotspot and check for the printer again. Connecting to the AirCastPro General Settings Page will only be available if you are on the same network as your AirCastPro II.
If your printer is still not visible, use the Subsystem Reset option in the AirCastPro II General Settings page. Make sure your printer is plugged in and powered on. AirCastPro II will configure your printer for you.

Prints are showing in the AirCastPro II print queue, but doesn’t print

Make sure your printer isn’t paused.
Make sure the printer is on.
Make sure the printer is connected to AirCastPro II.

If your prints are successfully making it to AirCastPro II’s print queue but not progressing, check to see if a print error has occurred (Yellow triangle, top of the print queue).
Click on the triangle to view the error, then take steps to correct the issue (printer offline, incompatible media, printer door open, etc).

Prints aren’t showing in the AirCastPro II Print Queue

Are one or more print jobs in iOS Print Center?
The iOS Print Center is an app that you may see occasionally if printing large files or printing to a printer that is unavailable. Prints can get “stuck” in Print Center, preventing you from printing.

To see if the Print Center app is open, swipe up from the bottom of the screen, then pause in the center of the screen. For iOS devices with a “home” button, double-click the home button.
This will give you access to the App Switcher. Swipe through your apps to see if Print Center is open. If so, delete all prints listed in its queue.

Is the selected Print Size compatible with the media and ribbon loaded in your printer.
AirCastPro II should show an error if your print size is not compatible with your installed media. A yellow warning triangle should appear above the print queue.
NOTE: This can happen if you edit your print size when your printer is not connected to AirCastPro II.

Clear the error and select a print size compatible with your installed media.
